Rhimes signed on with Netflix to write and produce new shows for their streaming platform, and she came in powerful. Bridgerton is based on Regency era romance novels by Julia Quinn at a time when debutantes are presented to eligible men. It has all the lust and steamy scenes from the days of Rhimes’ writing on Grey’s and the other TGIT shows.

6. Orange is the New Black
This has been a fan-favorite for a while now, and for good reason! It is a drama-fueled, comedy on Netflix which centers around a women’s prison. The main character, Piper, got tangled up with a drug dealer which landed her with a prison sentence. The show takes place during her 15-month sentence where you get to learn about the various stories and how the prisoners landed in the clink.
7. Tiger King
“Tiger King” is a one-of-a-kind show that is a must watch! It was released right at the start of the pandemic while most cities and states were in quarantine, so everyone turned to the show for distraction and entertainment. It focuses on the interconnected society of big cat conservationists in the south. It primarily revolves around Carole Baskin and Joe Exotic, who both run big cat rescues. It will blow your mind to know these happenings are occurring in our country!
8. Big Mouth
As children, we loved cartoons. But even as an adult, cartoons can be a hit or a miss. “Big Mouth” is a coming-of-age cartoon sitcom that is loosely based on Nick Kroll (stand-up comedian) and his best friend’s upbringing in New York. It is hilarious and touches on all the taboo topics from puberty years. It will have you crying from laughing so much!

The women support and challenge one another to be their best selves. Girl power, all day long!
10. Queer Eye
On bad days or good days, this heartwarming show will brighten up any day. This is the second “Queer Eye” show, as the original was cancelled in 2007. The new one was released in 2018 with five new members of the “Fab 5”. The Fab 5 consist of gay men who are professionals in various areas of life from beauty to interior design. They travel across the country, and even the world, to make over men and women to feel more confident in their individual lives. It will take you from laughing to crying and everything in between.
In the world full of streaming services, binging can be seen as a form of self-care. At least, that’s how I will forever look at it. So, Netflix and Chill for yourself and take time for you. Happy binging!
